La Nuit Dans Le 17eme
Intro
Link: La Nuit Vim GUI colorscheme
La Nuit is a colorscheme I have wanted to make for about a year now. It is based on a picture I took from the balcony of the apartment I was renting in Paris (2021/2). The apartment is on a small street in the 17th arrondissement, and the spotlight in the below picture is coming from the Arc de Triomphe.
Concept
I recently discovered some light colorschemes that use background colors for syntax highlighting instead of foreground colors. La Nuit is an attempt to do this while retaining a dark general background. It is also heavily mixing darkish blues and desaturated orange-yellows.
Status
WIP
Currently, this is just the Vim/Neovim GUI version. It is also not complete. I plan to shoehorn it into base-16, but may have to modify it to achieve the highlighting that makes up the foundation of the colorscheme.

Notes
- Vim template for base-16
- Alabaster for Vim Note: This is not optimized for GUIs, but should work well in a modern terminal.
